Is Partner Up Hawaiʻi a matchmaking service or a dating service?
Partner Up Hawaiʻi is a personalized matchmaking service. We also host curated dating events such as speed dating and singles mixers.
How is Partner Up Hawaiʻi different from dating apps?
We are not a dating app. Our database is completely private—clients cannot browse or message other users. Only our matchmakers, Natalie and Ashley, view profiles and make matches. You only have access to your own profile, allowing for a discreet and intentional experience.
What is SmartMatchApp?
SmartMatchApp is a professional matchmaking CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system that helps matchmakers securely manage client profiles, identify potential matches, coordinate introductions, and host events.
Why focus on in-person connections instead of apps?
We believe real connection happens in real life. In an era of swipe culture, we prioritize authentic, meaningful, in-person interactions that create space for genuine connection.
What is your success rate?
Partner Up Hawaiʻi launched in January 2024 and is still growing. While we don’t promise outcomes, we’re proud of the connections we’ve helped facilitate so far:

Why is an interview required before being set up on a date?
The interview is part of our verification process. It allows us to ensure we’re aligned and comfortable vouching for those we work with. Completing an interview does not guarantee a date.
Can I still meet other singles if I don’t go through the interview process?
Yes. Our singles events are open to all, regardless of whether you’re in our matchmaking database.

Do you work with specific types of people?
We welcome all singles 21+ across all gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, ethnicities, and family situations, including parents.
Do I need to live in Hawaiʻi full-time?
Generally, yes. We focus on helping Hawaiʻi residents meet other local residents. While exceptions may arise, our services are designed primarily for those living in the islands full-time.

How do interviews happen?
There are two ways:

How does your matching process work?
We use a customized matching system (SmartMatchApp) that considers key criteria such as age, location, lifestyle, values, family preferences, and interests. Matches typically meet a high compatibility threshold before we review them more deeply and reach out to determine next steps.
Do you plan the date for us?
Yes. We coordinate the day, time, and location based on mutual preferences.
Who pays for the date?
Each person covers their own expenses. First dates are intentionally kept light and low-pressure.
Can I give feedback after a date?
Yes. Every coordinated date includes a post-date feedback survey and follow-up.
Location & Logistics
Which islands do you serve?
We serve all Hawaiian islands, with most of our database currently on Maui, Oʻahu, and the Big Island.
Will I be matched with someone on a different island?
Possibly, if it aligns with your preferences. Inter-island matches are discussed in advance and typically begin with a virtual date.
Do you coordinate dates locally?
Yes. We are Maui based and are currently coordinating dates on Maui, Oʻahu, and the Big Island with plans to expand.

Joining the database is free. Paid services include:
Initial Interview: $150
First Date Coordination: $300
Second Date Coordination: $250
Exclusive Client Services (must qualify): starting at $5,000+
Do you offer refunds if I don’t feel a spark?
No. While we can’t guarantee chemistry, we focus on coordinating thoughtful, high-quality introductions between compatible individuals.
